I was lucky enough to travel to California to capture Elyssa and Jordan’s wedding at the beautiful Los Willows in Fallbrook, California in Northern San Diego County. We started the day in the Bridal Cottage, where Eylssa and her wedding party got ready for the big day. The ceremony was held outdoors on the meadow, where I was able to capture the emotional groom and bride as she walked down the aisle. It was important for Elyssa and Jordan to get lots of portraits, so we spent some time during both cocktail hour and dinner to walk around the venue for creative portraits. The estate had so many great locations to choose from! The reception was held in the Pavillion where the guests enjoyed dinner, toasts, and dancing. The night ended with Elyssa and Jordan making their grand exit as the guests blew bubbles to send them off in style! Special thanks to the wonderful staff and Los Willows and Amanda from Sassy Little Bee for coordinating the amazing day and making me feel at home at a new location! Rachel got ready for the big day with her bridesmaids at JW Marriott Downtown , while Michael and the boys got ready at home. The ceremony took place at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart where we caught some great photos of Rachel laughing as she walking down the aisle. After the ceremony, we headed down to the Houston Graffiti Building to get some creative portraits with the couple and the wedding party. The reception was at Crystal Ballroom, where Rachel and Michael went to their high school prom together 11 years ago! The ballroom looked amazing as always with flowers and linen by Blooming Gallery and cake by Who Made The Cake. After the introduction, the couple shared their first dance and then ate dinner catered by Sambuca Restaurant. The party continued with the cake cutting, toasts and parents dances. With JPL Entertainment providing the music, the guests danced all evening, including the New Orleans Second Line Parade! The night ended with the couple exiting with rose petals and driving back to JW Marriott Downtown in a classic VW Van.   Ceremony: Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart  |  Reception: Crystal Ballroom  |  Hair and Make-up: Blushing Beauty by Nikki  |  Flowers and […]

It was a warm January day as Cassi and Shawn got ready at Pecan Springs in Brookshire, Texas to celebrate their big day! Lisa from My Event Angels set up the first look, including a delightful idea to have them back to back holding hands, before they turned to see each other. Cassi and Shawn wanted to take advantage of the beautiful venue to do lots of creative portraits before the ceremony. And we got some amazing photos, including a shot by an intriguing bare tree that’s turned out to be one of our favorites. The outdoor ceremony was beautiful, including personal vows that they read to each other. After the ceremony, the party moved indoors to Stone Creek Hall where the couple shared their first dance. The guests enjoyed dinner, cake and dancing until the grand exit to end the night. Thank you Cassi and Shawn for making us part of your day! Mona and Aamir met in medical school and started dating in New York City during their residency. She describes their first date as the “best first date ever” and their love grew from that day. The wedding and reception was at the  Houstonian Hotel in Houston and we were ecstatic that they chose us to capture it all. We had worked with Mona and her family for her sister’s wedding a few years ago, and they have remained one of our favorite clients since. After getting ready, Mona and Aamir braved the cold weather for their first look and some quick creative portraits outdoors. Following formal group photos in the lobby, the ceremony and reception took place in the Grand Ballroom. One of our favorite moments were Mona and her father dancing and the knife dance. The dancing never stopped all night as the couple celebrated their special day with their friends and family. We started the day with Eleina at Christ Church Cathedral, where she put on her beautiful dress from Misora Bridal. The cool, overcast day was perfect to get lots of photos of the bridesmaid and groomsmen outside. The church does not allow photography during the ceremony, but we were able get some candid shots of Eleina and her dad (with the amazing planner, Kelly from Eventology,  just behind them) as she was getting ready to enter the church. After the ceremony, we were able to recreate parts of the wedding, including a fun dip kiss. And speaking of dip kisses, if there were an award to the best dip kissing clients, they would win hands down! The reception was just few streets away at the Crystal Ballroom at the Rice Hotel. Eleina requested a portrait inside the ballroom before doors were open, and it turned out to be one of my favorite shots of the evening. My other favorite photos were during  the cake cutting, where Eleina and Paul’s fun personality was captured perfectly. At the end of the night, they shared a private dance (with a dip kiss, of course) and a rose petal exit. Instead of rushing through portraits on the wedding […]

“No union is more profound than marriage, for it embodies the highest ideals of love, fidelity, devotion, sacrifice, and family.” Taylor and Mark met during their Baylor Law School years at a karaoke night in Waco. “We sang, laughed, danced, shared stories, traveled, and, along the way, we fell in love and decided to spend the rest of our lives together. So, LET’S GET MARRIED!”  And they picked a beautiful November day in Houston for their wedding. I first took photos of Taylor and her bridesmaids getting ready at the La Colombe d’Or. Then we headed to St. Paul’s Methodist Church for beautiful photos of the wedding party outside. After the ceremony, we had plenty of time to take amazing outdoor portraits, including a special request by the father of bride, a photo of the couple with the classic getaway car! The reception followed back at La Colombe d’Or where the couple shared their first dance, as well as the father daughter and mother son dances. After dinner, the dance floor was packed all night long as they celebrated with friends and family. The night ended with a grand sparkler exit. Special thanks to Caroline and Kelsey at the Belle of […]

It was a beautiful Houston day when I met up with Elyse and Jeff at St. Anne Catholic Church. I took some beautiful shots of Elyse and her bridesmaid, while Jeff had some fun ideas about the groomsmen being distracted during the photo session. After the wedding ceremony, the couple came outside where they released doves from “Carlos”, their getaway car. Jeff and Elyse wanted their family portraits to be taken outside and it was the perfect day for it! After the family formals, I took a few photos of the wedding party and then took some time with  the newly wed couple for more creative portraits. The reception followed at the Houstonian Hotel, one of my favorite hotels in town. Their staff is amazing and the beautiful grounds are great for portraits. Before the couple were introduced, they showed a wonderfully fun video about how Elyse and Jeff met in high school. It was one of the best introduction videos I’ve seen! The couple and their guests ate and danced the rest of the evening. “On our wedding day a new life has it’s start, we’ll share with each other one love, one dream, one heart” Tami arrived at the Bell Tower on 34th for her wedding in an elegant Winnie Couture dress with her family and bridesmaid. Cory, aka Captain America, and his superhero groomsmen wore special cufflinks and socks. Following the pleasant outdoor ceremony by the Water Wall, we got some great photos of the family, wedding party and the couple, including one of favorite shots by the stairs. The reception took place in the Chandelier Room where the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife. After the meal and cake cutting, Tami shared a dance with her father and Cory with his mother. But the best dance of the night was by Tami’s father, who did the tango with Jeamie, one of the bridesmaid. The day concluded with a bubble exit as they start their life as a married couple! Congrats again and thank you for including us in your day. We met up with Saera at the First Presbyterian Church, where she got ready in her beautiful dress with the help of her family and bridesmaids. Saera and Matt did their first look so that we could take some portraits outside before sunset. After the ceremony, we headed to the Petroleum Club of Houston for the reception. It was already dark, but I wanted to capture a portrait of the couple with the background lights of the downtown. While experimenting with different angles, I got one of my favorite shots of the evening using the reflection of the couple on the glass windows. Later in the night, I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth dance moves by Matt! Who knew this quite and reserved MD would put on a show on the dance floor? The night ended with the couple’s grand exit with pom poms. Special thanks to the team at Soireebliss Events for planning another amazing wedding and making our job easier.   Wedding Planner: Soireebliss Events  |  Hair and Make-up: Pink Palette  |  Wedding Ceremony: First Presbyterian Church  |  Wedding Reception: The Petroleum Club of Houston  |  Flowers and Decor:  HEB Flowers |  Cake: Heavenly Sweet Treats  |  Band: Royal Duke’s Band

Leslie and Aaron’s wedding day started at the Hotel Zaza where Leslie and her bridesmaids got their hair and make-up done by one of the best in the industry, Nikki Bartlett and her team. I met up with Aaron and his groomsmen at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, where his best man and mother helped by putting the final touches for the big day. I also met Angela Nix, the wedding planner, who was easy and a pleasure to work with all night. The ladies arrived at the church shortly after and Leslie put on her beautiful dress from Weddings by Debbie. The bridesmaids wore different style and color bridesmaid dresses, a trend that I really like. The ceremony was beautiful as St. Paul’s is one of the most iconic churches in Houston. After the ceremony, we headed to the Petroleum Club for the reception. The party started as the guests watched the amazing sunset from the 39th floor view. Damon from PRP Entertainment took over. He promised that this reception would be like no other and he was right! The guests danced non-stop all evening until Leslie and Aaron’s grand exit with flower petals. Leslie and Aaron, have a […]
