“On our wedding day a new life has it’s start, we’ll share with each other one love, one dream, one heart” Tami arrived at the Bell Tower on 34th for her wedding in an elegant Winnie Couture dress with her family and bridesmaid. Cory, aka Captain America, and his superhero groomsmen wore special cufflinks and socks. Following the pleasant outdoor ceremony by the Water Wall, we got some great photos of the family, wedding party and the couple, including one of favorite shots by the stairs. The reception took place in the Chandelier Room where the couple shared their first dance as husband and wife. After the meal and cake cutting, Tami shared a dance with her father and Cory with his mother. But the best dance of the night was by Tami’s father, who did the tango with Jeamie, one of the bridesmaid. The day concluded with a bubble exit as they start their life as a married couple! Congrats again and thank you for including us in your day. Drew and Taemee met in medical school in Houston. Taemee jokes that they met “in typical nerd fashion” in the library studying for exams. But Drew remembers falling for Taemee at a birthday party in 2012 when she walked in looking “more beautiful and striking than I’d ever seen her.” He adds, “She was absolutely stunning. She was funny, interesting, and down to earth. I just enjoyed being around her.” Upon graduating, they both ended up in New York for their medical residency where their love grew stronger. Fast forward to the big day – It started at the Omni Hotel where I was able to get some great photos of Drew getting ready. Then I headed to the Bell Tower on 34th to capture Taemee getting ready with her bridesmaids, who were also ALL doctors! Drew and Taemee shared a sweet first look and we quickly got some group photos and portraits of the two of them before the rain really started to come down. Then it was time to get ready for the ceremony. Shooting a Jewish wedding under a chuppah can be challenging. It can create a shadow under the canopy, making for some pretty unflattering lighting. So […]

Having been a professional wedding photographer for over 10 years, I have heard some amazing stories about couples’ journeys to their big day. But I have to say Steph and Sam’s journey is one of the most remarkable stories I’ve ever heard. I won’t go into all the details, but it involves competing for an exclusive Japanese study abroad program, a love triangle, a 7 hour post-earthquake rescue mission, and a Harry Potter proposal! The latter of which was published by Cosmopolitan, The Telegraph UK and Houston Chronicle! And who do you hire to plan an extraordinary wedding to celebrate this extraordinary couple? You guessed it, Kat Creech Events. I was curious to see how Kat would bring the Harry Potter theme to her designs and as usual, she did not disappoint. The first thing I noticed was the aisle runner made up of pages from Harry Potter books. Then there was the Quidditch inspired guest card hoops and custom design crest for the couple. There were Harry Potter details everywhere including the programs, gift table, props for photobooth, and many more. But I have to say that the crowd favorite had to be Widget, the owl who flew down the […]
